Aging and AIDS / Reflections on AIDS 2012 / Barriers to Prevention Education

Many are suffering from age related issues that are accelerated by HIV and also by HIV treatment. The importance of knowing more about these issues becomes more and more evident in an age where life expectancy for those living with HIV keeps improving.

The International AIDS Conference “AIDS 2012” (see previous post) has left a mark, and it seems that an AIDS free generation is within reach!

While Prevention Education in the classroom is now widespread, it isn’t always the most successful in helping youth change their behaviors or attitudes towards HIV and AIDS. New approaches are needed.
