FamilyJen was born in New Jersey and grew up in a strong Christian family. At a very young age, she felt God’s leading to work with disadvantaged children. She also knew that Africa was to be the continent where she would serve. During college, she met Marcus in a workshop about the challenges of French-speaking Africa.

Marcus was born and raised in Switzerland. His parents also follow Christ and set a good example for him. He was convicted of God’s love for those who suffer from AIDS when he visited Africa during college.

Silas was born in 2009 in Ouagadougou and is loving life in Africa!

Since we first left the United States to serve in Burkina Faso, we’ve encountered many obstacles, difficult situations, and cultural challenges – yet Christ has sustained us and we’ve experienced much joy.

We moved to South Africa in 2014. Marcus serves as the SIM International Projects Coordinator and also assists HOPE for AIDS projects around the world. Jen severs with women in our town and on the worship team of our church. You can keep up with us by reading our blog, catching us on Skype, or finding us on Facebook.
